Fall General Meeting & Happy Hour @ Ivar's

Dear Fellow Seattle Georgia Tech Alumni and Friends:

We'd like to invite you to the Fall General Meeting & Happy Hour of the local Georgia Tech Club which will take place at Ivar's Salmon House on Thursday, October 30th. Mark your calendars now for what promises to be a fun evening of catching up with local Tech friends and making new ones from the over 800 Yellow Jackets in the Puget Sound area. In addition, this meeting will be a great opportunity to:

  • Hear more about events planned for the upcoming year including football/basketball game watching parties, local Team Buzz community service events, Young Alumni hosted happy hours, speaker dinners, and more.
  • Learn about how to get involved with the club - there are a number of opportunities to help the club this year in a leadership role and we encourage anyone interested to come find out more about specific roles that are available within the club.
  • Find out ways to support the local Tech scholarship program - we have increased our goal for this year by looking to award $1000 grants (each to be matched by the Alumni Association) to two Puget Sound area high school students bound for Georgia Tech next fall.
  • Offer ideas on new programs you'd like to see from the club and feedback on how to improve what you've seen from club over the past year. It's the goal of the club to put together fun and interesting events for the Puget Sound area alumni & friends that allow all of us stay connected to the Tech community both locally and as a whole. By doing so, we can make the Seattle Georgia Tech Club one of the best in the nation but we want to hear from you as to how to get there!

The event will begin with a reception at 6:30pm featuring heavy hors d'oeuvres and cash bar. The program covering the topics above will begin at approximately 7:30pm. Cost of the event, which covers food and soft drinks, is $20 per person and can be paid using the Amazon Payments Widget below ($15 per person for due paying members--Dues are $15 per year and can be payed online or at any event). The deadline to RSVP is Friday, October 10th and payment is required in advance so that we can plan food accordingly. Ivar's Salmon House is located at 401 NE Northlake Way in Seattle on the north side of Lake Union.
