Welcome to the Seattle Georgia Tech Alumni Club! After a few years in hibernation, we've been busy organizing new events for our Seattle area alums.
All of our events are announced here on our website and on our mailing lists. Please take a moment to subscribe to our RSS feed or our mailing list so you can stay connected with local alumni.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send one of our officers an Email. The link can be found above on the main navigation page.
You're invited to the Georgia Tech Summer Picnic! It's on the lake this year, so bring your bathing suit and sunscreen, and of course the little ones! Join us for a send-off celebration honoring our incoming and current Tech students and their families. This event gives freshmen, transfers, current students, parents and alumni the opportunity to network with one another and learn more about life and experiences on campus. Come join the fun!
The Seattle Georgia Tech Alumni Association has been asked to help out with the 2010 Seattle Works Day, on May 22! This is a very fun event that gets lots of folks doing various volunteer projects around Seattle. We have signed up for a team of 12 alumni to come out to Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill for a day of yard work and other odd jobs. What better way to give back to the City, put our best foot forward for Georgia Tech, and meet some fun new folks in the process!!
Join the Seattle Georgia Tech Club on the evening of Wednesday, March 24th for our annual Spring Speaker Dinner! This year, the dinner will be held at Piecora's New York Pizza (http://www.piecoras.com/) on Capitol Hill where we are lucky to be joined by John Carter (IE '69), President and Chief Operating Officer of the Georgia Tech Foundation who will give a presentation on the investment strategy and workings of the Georgia Tech Foundation. This event promises to draw a great crowd of Georgia Tech Alumni & friends from around the Puget Sound Area.
Puget Sound based area alumni of universities across the Southeast will be getting together at this happy hour which has been very well attended in the past and always a lot of fun. There will be drink specials until 8 p.m. and a bluegrass band is expected to take the stage around 8:30. Come in early for a drink after work and stick around for the great music.

If you won't be Trick-or-Treating or don't plan to stay home to hand out candy, the Tech Club will be at The Attic once again this week to watch the Jackets take on Vanderbilt at 4:30pm local time. It is of course Halloween night so if you have parties to go to afterward or if you just want to get into the Halloween spirit, feel free to wear a costume. Yours truly will be in ridiculous costume after stupidly promising The Attic's bar staff he would do so while caught up in the euphoria of the Virginia Tech win a few weeks back.
